Sapa Trekking: For adventure lovers, a trip to Sapa and surrounding areas is always satisfied. Walking down through the villages surrounding Sapa will offer you some challenge because you balance on the rice terraces and a small trail on the steep mountainside. In order to understand more about the culture and the daily life of the hill tribes, a home-stay is very highly recommended. Terraced rice field in Sapa is the best seen between August and October, especially best for those who enjoy taking photos or being in a deserted place.



Halong Bay Cruises: This UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a popular travel destination, is located in Quang Ninh province, some 170 kms away from Hanoi. Halong Bay has fascinating limestone formations, coves for night-time excursions, sheer cliffs, grottoes, arches and scores of small islets. There are also a large variety of activities offered by cruise junks such as kayaking, swimming, visiting floating villages, etc which are well worth taking time out for as this is one way to really admire the beauty of the area as well as a good way to watch the fauna and flora without disturbing the nature.

Trekking through Cuc Phuong national park: This national park which is located approximately 120km south-west of Hanoi, is Vietnam’s largest national park and one of the most important sites for biodiversity in the country. It is homes to hundreds of species of flora and fauna. Visiting the park is a good opportunity to get a close look at Vietnam’s nature. More importantly fees generated from tourism help protect the parks wildlife and improve local economy. The best time to visit the park is during the dry season, from November to February.



Hue Complex of Monuments: Imperial City of Hue is the best place to relax and unwind because it is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Vietnam. Spend at least 2 days to explore Purple Forbidden Citadel, Emperor Tombs and other royal monuments which have been listed a World Heritage site. Moreover, it is also famous for its natural landscape, history and the arts. For those who are tired of walking, the most popular activity in Hue is the cruising by boat along the Perfume River which will stop at Thien Mu Pagoda, known to be the tallest pagoda in Vietnam. There is also live Hue Royal Court music for entertainment. Another must-do thing in Hue is the walking tour along Le Loi Street in which you will see the remnants of French architectural buildings that will remind you of the country’s French colonization. French colonial architecture can be seen on the different buildings that include art galleries, universities, churches and nearby neighborhoods.  

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park: it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Quang Binh Province, north-central Vietnam. As a result of earth crust development 464 million years ago it’s the oldest major karst formation in Asia. Composed of 300 caves and grottos, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park offers countless activities including visiting caves and grottos by boat, mountain climbing and forest trekking. The park is huge and home to various interesting flora, many of which are hardly found elsewhere.

My Khe Beach Break: Da Nang is popular tourist destination because of its miles of beaches and that’s why the city is a famous among beach lovers. February to August is the best time to visit Da Nang if you want to enjoy its beaches which is calm during these months. Especially, if you love the water and have children with you, the safer option is to go to the Da Nang Water Park. The water park has loopy tunnel slides as well as big slides. It has kiddie pools with fountains and a wave pool. Or if you like a different kind of view and way to travel, take a 5-kilometer ride in the cable car that goes to the Ba Na Mountain. Tourists will not only have opportunity to enjoy the cool and fresh atmosphere but also to discover beauty spots which can hardly be found in other regions. Especially, you can visit an authentic French wine cellar that has been dug into the mountain to ensure that perfect temperature for the wines is maintained.


My Son Holy Land: Another must-do that is so close to Danang is My Son Sanctuary which is a masterpiece of Cham Architecture. The Land was the central praying and worship ceremony place of Cham Pa reigns as well as a tool to help the reigns to contact with God and Saints. Set up in deep forests, streams and wild species, My Son Holy Land will astonish tourists with its ancient ruins and preserved artifacts.


Hoi An Ancient Town: Hoi An is a must-see place for travelers to Vietnam. The ancient trading port is most well preserved port in the World by now. This city in the center of Vietnam is famous for its wooden houses and congregation halls, the latter of which were built for praying and meeting friends. The Fujian Congregation Hall is the best example with its beautiful temple and chapel. The Japanese Covered Bridge is remarkable with its carved guardians and the shrine at its center. Tourists can also visit the local museums and pick up one of the famous lanterns and silk products as a souvenir.

Da Lat-the city of Flowers: Dalat is not like any other places tourists can see in Vietnam. It is often considered the French Alps in springtime. Da Lat is small, however, it is very charming, and the surrounding countryside is magnificent with numerous lakes, waterfalls, evergreen forests and flower gardens. Moreover, there are tribal villages to explore. Although most are located further out of town, you can visit the villages of some of the hill tribes, such as Lat Village and the Chicken Village (with a huge statue of a chicken) close to Da Lat itself. Remember to bring your camera as the photo chances are endless!


Historic Cu Chi Tunnels: For the truly adventurous traveler, it will be interesting to check out the Cu Chi Tunnels which is about 50km north-west of central Ho Chi Minh City. The underground tunnels measure 200 kilometers and include shelters, several entrances and hideouts. It was the base in which the Vietnamese planned the 1968 Tet Offensive. What is amazing about the tunnels was that the sprawling underground system of tunnels were dug in secret and the top soil covering the tunnel system is about four meters thick, strong enough to withstand damages that can be brought by light cannons and bombs as well as the weight of a 50-ton tank. There are guides who will show you several secret entrances to the tunnels from the streets above.

 Floating Markets in the Mekong delta. A well worth visit to explore local ways of life in the mighty Mekong River is around these markets in Can Tho and My Tho provinces in the Mekong Delta. This will give you wonderful opportunities to learn about daily life on the water. A private cruise on local canals for many interesting sightseeing excursions definitely should be in your plan, and remember to bring a camera. Larger boats venture up the Mekong River and this is also a must-do if you are in the area of Can Tho.


Phu Quoc Tropical Paradise Island: one of the most beautiful islands in Vietnam which has been converted into an ideal tourist destination for nature and sea lovers with sophisticated Long Beach, romantic Ong Beach and irresistible Sao Beach. In addition, Coming to Phu Quoc Island, travelers will have a chance to visit An Thoi town to sample the famous fish sauce. Best of all, enjoy the glorious sunsets on this island retreat.



The Sunshine Beach of Mui Ne: Sand Dunes of Mui Ne are the most important tourist attraction apart from the beaches of Mui Ne. Some 65 km northeast of Phan Thiet City, the massive dunes range in color from gold to white. There are also red dunes to be found further south, close to Mui Ne. Sand-sledding is a common and fun activity here. Another interesting activity is kite flying as well as viewing the beautiful sunset here.
