Overview: 

This is a very exciting trip designed for families with children who want to explore key attractions of Vietnam. We will start from Hanoi city, exploring its elegance, charm and fun places including water park games, museums and water puppet theatre. In Halong Bay, we cruise through beautiful scenery, grottoes and fishing village before stopping in a cool bay for kayaking. Sapa is the world of difference, with mountains, valleys and waterfalls and most interesting of all the colorful ethnic groups. Kids and parents will trek through stunning valleys and suspension bridge to enjoy yellow rice fields and green forests. In the central region, we stay in Hoi An, a beautiful and family suitable place, with its own characters, beaches and mountains. Further to the south is Nha Trang and Mui Ne where we enjoy gorgeous beaches and water park games. Children will love sledding down sand dunes or swim with parents in the beach. In busy and bustling Saigon ,we visit its key historic sites including Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum and the fascinating Notre Dame Cathedral. We enjoy a river boat cruise through densely connected network of rivers and canals in the Mekong Delta, passing through colorful floating markets and orchards. During the trip, apart from visiting cultural and historical places for parents, we also put some programs for children such as visiting zoo, water parks, amusement park, etc. The ultimate goal is to create a great chance for children as well as parent to experience Vietnamese culture, wonders, food, lifestyle and friendly ethnic minorities.

Itinerary: 

Day 1: Hanoi (breakfast, lunch)

In the morning, we drive to Ho Chi Minh complex, spend a couple of hours to visit Ho Chi Minh museum. We walk to the One Pillar Pagoda, the iconic Buddhist temple of Vietnam. We continue to the Temple of Literature originally built as a temple of Confucius. This is the site of the Vietnam first university dating back to 1070. The Temple highlights the importance of education. Enjoy street food, then in the afternoon, we visit the Museum of ethnology, the most interesting museum in Vietnam, showing the diverse cultures of 54 ethnic groups in the country. Let your kids explore Vietnam cultural values; play with sample huts and outdoor playground. Late in the say, enjoy Hanoi ice cream in the Old Quarter. Free  in the evening and enjoy the hotel pool with your kids.

Day 2: Hanoi (breakfast, lunch)

Enjoy the Hanoi Old Quarter in the morning with all sights and sound. Take a walk around the Sword Lake (Hoan Kiem Lake) and visit the Turtle Temple. Then visit the Ly Thai To square nearby, and the Hanoi Opera Theatre to learn about a part of Hanoi's history. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we drive to the west of Hanoi, 10 kms, and spend the afternoon in the biggest and exciting water park. This is a modern complex, with monorail train, pools and games. Kids will love to play and swim in the cool water pools. In the evening we enjoy a performance of Hanoi’s famous Water Puppet Shows - kids and parents will be equally delighted!

Day 3 - 4: Halong Bay Cruise (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Heard of Halong Bay ? Today we will take a four hour drive there before boarding on our cruise boat. We will cruise through remarkable limestone formations of Halong Bay. We have the opportunities to enjoy a swim, visits to stunningly beautiful grottoes and do some kayaking!. Overnight on the cruise boat will be a memorable experience for your family. In the next morning, enjoy some guided Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck. We continue sightseeing and cruising around the south of the Halong Bay, before turning to the harbor and driving back to Hanoi. Then in the evening, we go to the railway station for our train to Sapa.

Day 5 – 6: Sapa Ethnic Minorities (breakfast, lunch)

A visit to the North West Vietnam to see the magnificence of mountains, valleys, waterfalls and ethnic communities is a must. Kids will love getting closed to nature and the habitats or just taking photos with a water buffalo. We will explore local tribes in Cat Cat village (2kms from town) and then visit Cat Cat waterfall. Get to know the way H’Mong villagers make their own clothes, grow rice and corn and make a living. This is an easy walk through some rice fields, suspension bridges and beautiful scenery. Overnight in Sapa town and enjoy local delicacies. The next day is for exploring the town, visiting a local market, a flower garden in Ham Rong Mountains, the Silver waterfall. In the afternoon, we explore the traditional herbal medicine in Ta Phin village, famous for herbal bath! Overnight on train back to Hanoi.

Day 7-8: Hoi An (breakfast, lunch)

The train arrives in Hanoi and you are transferred to Noi Bai International airport for an early flight to Da Nang. Hoi An is just 30 kms from Da Nang airport. After we check in hotel by the beach, we have lunch and a short break.

In the afternoon we visit Japanese covered bridge, Cham Museum and Chinese Assembly Hall and other key attractions in town. Then get back for a great family swim in Cua Dai beach. The beach is clean, shallow and often calm, and kids love playing with parents in the water. Enjoy seafood and local delicacies by the beach or in a restaurant. In the evening free to enjoy cuisine or explore this ancient city on foot or on rickshaw.

In the morning of next day, we will have a visit to a local primary school having an excellent project on environmental protection. Your kids will exchange ideas and learn how the kids there help clean up the town and plant new trees, a highlight of this tour! Then check out, and we drive to the Da Nang airport for a short flight to Nha Trang. Transfer to the Nha Trang Vinpearl Resort and enjoy the water park games and activities.

Day 9-10: Nha Trang (breakfast, lunch)

Often referred to as one of the best bays on earth, Nha Trang is stunning, beautiful, clean, with clear sky and water. We will have the opportunity to enjoy a tropical paradise right on the beach. Then the next day, we enjoy a cruise boat to Tam Island, a small island strictly protected by the Government (with support of Danida Denmark). Enjoy an amateur scuba diving or snorkeling, discovering marine lives thanks to crystal clear blue water. Take a sun bed, start enjoy fresh seafood with a cup of wine or beer. Visit an aquarium and a local fishing village in a nearby small island. In the next morning, we go to the train station to experience a SE7 train to Mui Ne (8.00AM - 13.00PM). Check in and free to enjoy kite surfing.

Day 11-12: Mui Ne (breakfast, lunch)

This is the most famous beach for kite surfing, due to the ever present afternoon wind. It has a nice long stretch of beach lined with a variety of boutique hotels. In the next day, we enjoy spectacular bright red sand dunes, a range of activities are there for kids (sledding down on bits of cardboard, great fun for all!). Then we head to Fairy Stream for kids to play with sands and water. Enjoy some free time before we take the train to Ho Chi Minh city ( Saigon).

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City (breakfast, lunch)

A bustling mega city in Asia! We start our city tour by visiting the War Remnants Museum to discover one chapter of the city, then head to Reunification Palace close by. Take a walk around Ben Thanh MarketNotre Dame Cathedral and the central Post Office. The late afternoon is free for independent sightseeing, enjoying some coffee and ice cream, or shopping along the streets of central business districts.

Day 14-15: Mekong Delta (Breakfast, lunch)

Today we will leave Saigon for the town of Cai Be town (80 kms away) in the Mekong Delta to take a river boat trip. This journey cruises through floating markets, rice fields, fruit plantations and so on along a densely connected network of rivers and canals. An absolutely amazing view of a totally flat, low-lying delta that seems to have no have no boundary will bring you an immense feeling of this region. Experience a home stay in a basic facility for the day in an island between two rivers. In the next morning, we walk through the island’s orchards and navigate through narrow canals in a traditional wooden sampan. Then, in the afternoon, we take another boat from the home stay Island to our vehicle and get back to Saigon in late the afternoon.

Day 16: Ho Chi Minh City (breakfast, lunch)

In the morning we will explore an incredible network of underground tunnel designed and constructed to withstand fierce crack down of the external forces, the Cu Chi tunnel. No word could describe it better than experience it yourself. Come and see how Viet Nam won the war. You’ve got to appreciate the talent of the country. Free in the afternoon, and prepare for the airport transfer for your flight home in the evening.
