Start to discover Hanoi – the city’s 100 years of history, after that head to Mai Chau, the heart of a beautiful valley - a world away from the hustle of Hanoi. Take a short drive to Halong Bay, a recognized World Natural Heritage Site and highlight of any Vietnam holiday tours and treat yourself to a luxurious cruise through rock formations and grottos. In Hue, we explore royal tombs and complex of monuments listed as a World Heritage site. Next to Hue is the charming Hoi An, its unique architecture, lifestyle, communal houses and so on. A meaningful visit to an orphanage centre in Nha Trang will be the highlight of this tour. Appreciate unlucky children’s life in the centre, a bright and colorful place where they can grow up in a safe, supportive and happy environment. Continue to discover Dalat – the city of love and flower before taking short flight to the economic hustle of Ho Chi Minh city. Here, we get to know how Vietnam won the American War by visiting Cu Chi Tunnels, crawling through tiny path to experience a guerrilla life. Day 1: Arrive Hanoi
Get to Hanoi, check in and explore Hanoi on your own. Enjoy Hanoi coffee while we brief you on the itinerary and travel advice.
Day 2: Hanoi Day Tour
Hanoi is elegant with historical buildings, tree lined roads and museums. Enjoy a day exploring key highlights of the city, including one-Pillared Pagoda, the Temple of Literature originally built as a temple of Confucius, the Museum of ethnology, the most interesting museum in Vietnam. Enjoy a ride on a cyclo around the Old Quarter streets. In the evening, enjoy a fascinating water puppet show right in the Old Quarter. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi - Mai Chau
Explore the colorful tribal villages in Mai Chau town which have their own cultures and traditions. On the way, we make a quick visit to the impressive Russian built Hoa Binh Hydroelectricity Plant, probably the biggest one in Southeast Asia. In the afternoon arrive in the stunningly beautiful Mai Chau valley. Soak up the idyllic natural surroundings of the villages inhabited by the ethnic minority Thai People. Enjoy some short and easy trekking to nearby villages. See the village’s traditional music and dancing in the evening. Home stay in a stilt-house in Mai Chau.
Day 4: Mai Chau - Hanoi
After your breakfast, we take a short drive to the spectacular areas close by before enjoying a trekking tour to local villages of Cum and Xam Khoe. Walk along rice-fields, rural paths and through hill tribe villages. Spend some time chatting to villagers and getting to know their lifestyle and traditions. Get back to Poom Com village for lunch. In the afternoon, we drive back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi - Halong bay
Halong Bay is the most scenic sight in Vietnam, a recognized World Natural Heritage Site and highlight of any tour of Viet Nam. At noon, we will get onboard a traditional wooden boat, drink and feel the cool and comfortable atmosphere on board while cruising through limestone formations. After a relaxing break, enjoy an excellent seafood lunch. Then we will visit the wonderful Ha Long bay’s famous grottoes and caves. An opportunity for kids to dive off the boat and have a pleasant swimming in the deep blue water of the East Sea before lying on the sundeck and view a Halong sunset. Overnight on boat.
Day 6: Halong- Hanoi
Wake up in the morning and catch the sunrise on the bay, then do some Ta Chi exercises on the sundeck. Relax with a cup of hot coffee or tea when the boat cruises to explore more and more about Halong Bay. All leaves your family with a full sweet memory. Your kids and parents will love taking beautiful photographs and play in the fresh water. Come back to Halong city at around 14PM for the transfer back to Hanoi. Tonight, take a train to Hue.
Day 7: Hue
Hue is known as an ancient capital city of many original historical vestiges with more than 100 architectural works that reflect the life of Emperors and Mandarins under Nguyen’s reign. After having breakfast, we explore Imperial Citadel and the complex. We will sit on the board cruising on the romantic Perfume River and visit Hue's best-known religious sites such as Thien Mu Pagoda and the elaborate and enchanting mausoleum of emperors Khai Dinh or Tu Duc – the famous emperors of the Nguyen dynasty. Overnight in a Hue hotel.
Day 8: Hoi An
After checking in our hotel, we will have lunch and relax at local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit famous attractions including Japanese Bridge, Chinese Assembly Hall, tailor shops and local pottery shops. Your family will have long hours by the amazing Cua Dai Beach. Kids will love and play around this pristine beach and it is a charming experience. Walking through the white sand of the beach is awesome. The environment here is very peaceful and relaxing. Overnight in a Hoi An.
Day 9-10: Nha Trang
Take a short flight from Da Nang to Nha Trang. Check in the beach front hotel. This is your paradise now! Take a sunbed out and enjoy a cocktail by the beach. Free and easy to enjoy life or do short day trips. Overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 11: Nha Trang
Today we have an organized tour to explore coral and marine lives in Nha Trang. Start the journey from Cau Da port, then we will cruise to Tri Nguyen Aquarium which are keeping thousands of marine species found in Vietnam sea waters. After that, transfer to Mun Island, the best island for snorkeling and exploring multi-colorful corals and fishes. Relax on the boat or have a great swim before having lunch on a deserted island.
Day 12: Nha Trang - Da Lat
The modern and luxurious lifestyles in Nha Trang do not hide the contemporarily difficulty of its community members. Today we will visit an Orphanage Centre that provides basic shelters and education to street and orphanage children. Take the opportunity to embrace local life here by joining with children for some games, songs and dances to cheer them up. Get to Da Lat, and start exploring this romantic destination with its highlights, cuisine and local traditions. Overnight in Da Lat.
Day 13: Da Lat - Ho Chi Minh City
Free in the morning to explore Da Lat city, stairways and cobbled lanes, colorful central market, beautiful flower gardens, tranquil lake and grand French villas. In the afternoon we take a short flight to the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City
The city is a blend of history, riches and poverty. We start our city tour by visiting the War Remnants Museum to discover one chapter of the city, then head to Reunification Palace close by. Take a walk around Ben Thanh Market, Notre Dame Cathedral and the central Post Office. The afternoon is free for independent sightseeing, enjoying some coffee and ice cream, or shopping along the streets of central business districts.
Day 15: Cao Dai - Cu Chi
We visit Cao Dai temple, a monastic religion that is a combination of different religions and beliefs such as Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Vietnamese spiritualism, Christianity, and Islam. We then head to Cu Chi tunnels. Situated 60 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi is now described as a heroic district for its important role in Vietnam War. Cu Chi is famous for its tunnel system of over 220 km and is a popular tourism destination for both domestic and international travelers. The network of the tunnels includes numerous trap doors, command centers, living areas, weapons factories, hospital area, and kitchens. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 16: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be
Floating life in the mighty Mekong delta has fascinated travelers worldwide. In the morning, we depart for Cai Be for a river cruise. Take the boat ride through the canal networks; view the stilt houses and the fruit plantation along the river sides. Visit a wholesale fruit market before having lunch in a middle of nowhere! We continue cruise under the shadow of the water coconut trees before visiting local peasant families to experience unique agricultural practices. Overnight in a home stay house.
Day 17: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City
Enjoy the Mekong River and the densely network of canals around. Visit shops and stalls on floating boats of different sizes. Try crossing the so-called "Monkey Bridge" and see how locals have adapted living in the Mekong region. Return to Ho Chi Minh in the afternoon.
Day 18: Ho Chi Minh City
Free and easy in the morning. Check-out around noon and get transferred to the Tan Son Nhat airport for the flight home. End of service.
