The three day/two night cruise offers passengers the opportunity to explore three bays, including Ha Long Bay, and Cat Ba Island. You will discover each of these exciting destinations through a variety of excursions and activities while enjoying the safety and luxury afforded by The Au Co.

During your three day voyage you will not only journey through the natural wonders of UNESCO’s World Heritage Site, Ha Long Bay, but uniquely you will also have the opportunity to discover the Gulf of Tonkin’s adjacent Bays of Lan Ha and Bai Tu Long, both relatively unexplored by other tour ships. Here, you will have the chance to swim or kayak safely in remote lagoons and experience the way of life of the locals that live in a floating fishing village. On Cat Ba Island, with its renowned national park, you will have opportunities to walk or cycle through the rainforest, or visit a traditional village and meet local fishermen.

At night you will join a variety of social and fun activities including a cooking demonstration and spa and healthcare services. The crew has been trained to offer professional services that cater to every detail, and you will find this luxurious cruise a very memorable experience.

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay – Lan Ha Bay

The first day of your cruise is an introduction to the amazing scenery of Ha Long Bay and its southern sister, Lan Ha Bay. Cruising through Ha Long Bay will literally take your breath away, as we pass famous spots like Thien Cung and Me Cung caves, plus Soi Sim and Titov islands. Also located in the Gulf of Tonkin to the south of Ha Long and Lan Ha Bays, Ba Trai Dao and the Ho Ba Ham islets offer tranquillity and nature at its best, and a guided kayaking tour or a refreshing swim in the Bay’s emerald waters are two of the best ways to enjoy them.

Day 2: Cat Ba Island – Bai Tu Long Bay

Cat Ba Island is famous for its national park, to which more than half the island is designated. This island, which is the furthest away and the largest in the Gulf of Tonkin, is covered by a dense rainforest home to numerous indigenous species of flora and fauna. The secluded village of Viet Hai situated in the middle of this pristine environment is easily accessible thanks to a short walk or cycling trip  and is where we are developing an organic farm which you can visit.

Bai Tu Long Bay, located a little further east of Ha Long Bay, is the most remote area of your voyage. The exceptional scale and variety of the geological rock formations in this area are sure to make this a future destination for cruising in the Gulf of Tonkin. A relaxing rowing boat tour through the floating village of Vung Vieng and cruising into the geological park of this bay will definitely offer delightful moments for you to remember.

Day 3: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi

Ha Long Bay, designated a UNESCO world heritage site for its limestone rock formations, is home to about 2,000 isles and islets of different shapes and sizes, creating a truly breathtaking seascape. At its heart is the highest concentration of limestone rocks in the area and caves and grottoes abound. One of the most beautiful is Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave. Exceptional because of its size and the shapes which have been created by millions of years of erosion, Surprise Cave is not to be missed.

Currently the Au Co vessel has no other itineraries. We will market new offers as soon as they are provided by the Bhaya Cruises Company Limited.
